Personality:

Kandi is generally very stoic, and overall doesn't emote very well, either struggling to make expressions or making expressions that don't match their emotions. Their social drive is inhibited, causing them to overall withdraw from others and have few friends. However, they are a still a genuinely loving person, and to their few friends they'll show plenty of affection in their own way. They're very creative and love to do art, and are passionate about the rights and supports of marginalized groups. In general they tend to be very opinionated, which sometimes gets them in trouble when they do get upset. They have a secret soft spot for plants.

Biography:

Kandi grew up with physically and emotionally abusive parents, something that was kept well hidden from people around them. As such, Kandi led a very isolated and fearful childhood up until she was removed from their care at age 10 following a violent incident.

Kandi showed symptoms of DID from a unusually young age, struggling often with periods of memory loss and "mood swings." This made it difficult for them to make friends and to stay in a foster family, especially when symptoms of schizophrenia began to develop. As a teenager they became severely withdrawn, and it wasn't until they found a family that was accommodating and caring that they began to open up more.

Going to college felt like a new start to Kandi - they were taking a chance to try and make friends once more, and to hopefully make something good of their life. Luckily college would turn out to be a new turn for them, especially after meeting the new alien student Asetri.
